When I'm older I think I do want a child. I always say I don't because I've been saying it since I was a kid and I don't have the patience really for kids but I would like to have one. I would like to care for it, love it and protect it. I wanna give it a better childhood than I've ever had but that's probably the only reason why I want one. Just to give it a better childhood but then again I don't think I'll be a good mother. I constantly have mood swings, I barely take care of myself, im always sleeping, I have a short temper and I have a lot of unsolved problems. I think I'd always lash out on the the child for any little thing and when I realize it I know I'll feel horrible and become closed off to it.
Maybe I'm just someone who wants to take care of something so pure and precious but I don't even know how.

Children don't have the respect for their parents like they did a few years ago so this could be a problem for you. Also, the world id overpopulated and running out of food and the wild weather events are getting worse and more frequent. The world isn't the place it used to be.
ReplyMaybe you can have a pet? Taking care of a pet is like having a child but can be in some ways a place to prepare. Once you have a child, it's a lifetime of a responsibility.
ReplyThe most important thing to keep in mind is to avoid having a child until you are in a committed, loving relationship and are done with career preparation studies. Ideally, marriage can be the best environment for a family, and a family is for children.
Courtesy notice: the following includes a reference to a book that contains writings over 2000 years old which are mostly parables about human nature, both vile human nature as well as moral human nature, parables that are meant to teach us to learn and grow, including the teachings of Christ Jesus. No religion required, and better yet: no public displays of devotion required, although the former and latter are admirable if practiced freely out of one's own free will and without the threat of being beheaded. Some bullies will label this "trolling", so "change the channel" now if of no interest to you.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
Mark 12:28-31
And Christ Jesus said the 2 greatest commandments are:
Love God first and foremost.
Love your fellow-being as you love yourself.
From following or not following these, all good or evil cascades, respectively.
Love...that powerful, invisible, intangible force that cannot be denied; even atheists live and die by it.
