Ok, I need help. I'm a Christian, and I have been back and forth about tattoos. Is it wrong? Is it ok? I just seen other people (Christians) with them, and I've always wanted tattoos, especially one for my mom and for my grandma. I just don't know what to do. I don't want to, you know, like, disrespect God, and idk. Any advice?!?!?

Honestly, it's one of those things where you have to choose for yourself if you want a tattoo. No I don't think God is going to condemn you to hell for getting two tattoos because I mean he let a murderer go to Heaven after he repented (not really the same thing, but you get my drift) I think the whole not marking up your bodies is just because we are made in God's image and people like to tell you what is holy and good when really they don't have the answers. In short, get the tattoo if you want it because we're not going to take our bodies with us when we die, but if it's too difficult for you to choose and you feel like it's disrespectful then don't push yourself.
ReplyWhat I can say is this. Your body is the temple of the Lord and it says not to do anything to defile it basically. I've saw other Christian's with them as well. That's about all I can say about it. Its a personal choice. If you believe its wrong don't get one. Bit I think the part about not defiling the temple is the answer. Which your body is when you become a Christian. So. I hope this helps.
ReplyTattoos are an art in my eyes I don't see it as wrong , tattoos have been around for many centuries.. They go way way back and many different races and traditions use them as well so I believe there not wrong as long as you wear it likes its been born with you and your proud of it there shouldn't be a problem (:
