My Unsent Letter

Have you ever had a toxic sibling? I believe in today's society toxicity is commonplace, why? maybe it's in the water, who knows.

Some say their child is the jewel of their eye, the center stone of their crown, but jewels give off no warmth. They are cold, to the touch, and are for show, not comfort.

It is hard to find the diamond among the coal, and today's world is filled with nothing more than fake lab created gems.

It's like people that go around calling themselves your family, your friend, only to stab you in the back, conspire with your enemies. When you asked them to keep these enemies at bay, they do not, your sister or bother ignores you, thinking of their own selfish hide. Siblings that hide behind a mask, of falsity, cute little social media names, and writing lies, are narcissistic and poisonous.

Growing up I always tried to please, trying so hard to be that shining star, that sparkling stone, only to get knocked down or made fun of, or taken for granted. To be beaten and begrudged and controlled. Parents that have a favorite child are cruel and unnerving, and even in adulted hood they go on to continue the madness.

But in the end, the child that tried o hard, and stayed out of the limelight is the one that shines brighter than ever
