I don't like my birthday because I don't want to grow up. I'm already 17 but I still feel like I'm 11i guess that's because when I experienced trauma that wasn't from my family. I still want to hold onto the innocence I know I will never get back and never experience again.
I don't like my birthday because I never go anywhere on my birthday it's always a day or two after. I still got to go out yea but it isn't the same and this year I didn't even get a cake after my mom told me she'll get me one.
I don't like my birthday because I don't know what to feel. Having a very religious dad was horrible he didn't let us celebrate birthdays nor holidays, before he died when I was 13-14 I probably only celebrated my birthday three times. Three times out of my 13-14 years of living. Shocking. But now that I can celebrate it I don't know what to feel I always feel numb and weird. Ever since my first birthday I've always wanted to cry and I don't know why. Do some people feel like this?
I don't like my birthday because none of my old friends haven't wished me happy birthday since COVID started and I always told them happy birthday.
I just want to be happy on my birthday.

Clinging to your childhood isn't a healthy thing to do so let yourself grow up naturally. It isn't good to be a childish adult. If you are alone on your birthday take yourself out and buy yourself a nice gift. Start saving for it now so that you will have the money on your birthday.
