I've noticed that people only truly appreciate beautiful people when they reach an older age. For the most part, everyone is beautiful in their teens and 20s. Flawless skin, fit and toned childless bodies, trendy clothing, full thick hair, etc: life hasn't eaten them up yet. People in their 20s are a blank slate so of course they go unnoticed. It's only when people reach their 30s and over when their beauty truly starts to become appreciated. People grow softer, they age differently, their hair begins to thin, they stop working out, they star developing cellulite, they have children, they stop caring about trends, wrinkles set in, etc. The people who have been blessed with either good genetics, a disciplined workout schedule, or a positive attitude start to shine like bright copper pennies in a dirty coin bin. That's when their beauty is truly admired. They stand out among their age group and people start noticing them. I'm 46 and have noticed this.
