I would like to share my experience with pets as companions during difficult times. Surprisingly, I got a betta fish at a white elephant activity at work. And this betta fish has saved my life for a whole year now. When I'm having an anxiety attack i just lay down by the little fish tank and watch it swim, play and eat. It served me as company while crying for long periods and to help me get back to sleep in the middle of the night.
When I feel worthless and I just get up and look at the betta and look for ways to take better care of it each time.
So far i named him Broccoli, he lives in has a medium size $16 fish tank, has two $1 water plants and some kind of bubble to play with? lol.
I really do recommend everyone a betta fish. Plus they look so sad at the store and need a home.
Good luck to all
