Does anyone have any tips on how to get over a guy who is interested, but just not emotionally available and won't make a move? I don't fault him.. if you're not ready, you're not ready. I'd just like to be able to move on..I get too excited about someone and I really would like to get him out of my head.

my complicated-not-so-complicated love story
This story has a lot of parts to it, so I will start with the background information. [Background info] So this started in late 2019; I was about 12 and I...
Hmm did he tell you he’s not emotionally available, or does he just seem that way? Sometimes guys have trouble showing their emotions even though they feel it (or want to).
As for getting over someone… I have plenty of experience there lol. For me the only way to truly get over someone is to find someone new (better). Some people say you can learn to be unattached, but there will always be those moments of wanting companionship and your heart always goes back to the last person who occupied it.
If you find a new crush (even if you don’t act on it), that’ll wipe the all the others.
ReplyIt just seems that way, and I'm getting insecure that he's not asking me out. I'm tired of waiting and getting disappointed by his non action. Soo.. trying my hardest to move on, but he is still occupying my mind. One thing to note.. I have never vibed so effortlessly with someone, like never, so it just sucks and I want it to stop because nothing is happening. Maybe he lost interest, idk and again, don't want to fault him because it is what it is.. I'm just trying to get it out of my mind.
ReplyHere’s another way of looking at it… If you’re about to move on anyway, would it hurt to talk to him and ask if he’s interested? Worst that can happen is he’ll say no, and then you’ll have a reason to move on.
Or he may surprise you… Maybe he just doesn’t know how to make the first move?
ReplyJust a little bit of a sticky situation. We work together, so I truly don't want to make anything awkward and we rarely get a chance to talk outside of happy hours. Plus.. vulnerability, woof.
Replyyou work together, there it is. sounds like he is maintaining a boundary. If you don't end up working out, the workplace can become awkward and I'm guessing you both need to keep your jobs?
ReplyMore than likely true. Again, all totally valid and I do not dislike him because of it. I just want me feelings for him to fly away, so I can have peace of mind again and move on. Lol
