For as long as I can remember I have tried to change myself. Not for the sake of others, but the sake of myself. I wish to be pretty in looks and personality. I hate feeling disgusted with myself- but nothing I do seems to help. My hair falls so funny on me, my acne won´t go away. I eat fairly healthy but I have an inconsistent workout routine- my body is a whole kind of mess of slim and round. I am short, nowhere near tall, and I feel like that already is a disadvantage. I want to change- being satisfied with myself is something that has not been working for years, but I do not know what to do. How do I not be weird? How can I look better?

My Eating Disorter

Hi there, friend!
I'm sorry things have been hard on you. I just wanted to let you know that you're not alone. As a person who also struggles with trying to meet the standards of what beauty is nowadays, I have come to realize that I will never, ever be like the super models with the perfect skin, body faces. As I grow older, I started to embrace my eccentric self. I realized that I am one of a kind and so are you! My advice is don't be too hard on yourself ( I know it's easier said than done) but give yourself a little grace. You are the only one in this world and no one can ever compare to your own beauty! Do what makes you feel good and what you like. Don't worry too much about what others think. As long as YOU like it and it makes you feel good then that's all that matters.
Keep your head up, friend! Keep doing you to make yourself feel better and trust me, things will fall in place piece by piece. You've got this! <3 Sending all the positive vibes your way
ReplyI've often read that the best way to build confidence is to focus on what you're good at, and don't compare yourself to others. Confidence is highly attractive, but definitely don't stop taking care of your health. Best of luck.
Courtesy notice: the following includes a reference to a book that contains writings over 2000 years old which are mostly parables about human nature, both vile human nature as well as moral human nature, parables that are meant to teach us to learn and grow, including the teachings of Christ Jesus. No religion required, and better yet: no public displays of devotion required, although the former and latter are admirable if practiced freely out of one's own free will and without the threat of being beheaded. Some bullies will label this "trolling", so "change the channel" now if of no interest to you.
1 Thessalonians 5:11
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
Mark 12:28-31
And Christ Jesus said the 2 greatest commandments are:
Love God first and foremost.
Love your fellow-being as you love yourself.
From following or not following these, all good or evil cascades, respectively.
Love...that powerful, invisible, intangible force that cannot be denied; even atheists live and die by it.
Mary, Mother of Christ, intercede for us with your prayers, now, and always.
And after our worst deeds - never forget God forgives us when we repent through Christ Jesus.
