I recently stumbled upon a clip from a movie (although I'm unsure of its title) where one character asks another, "What's it like being depressed?" The response from the other character struck me as perhaps the best explanation of depression I've encountered thus far.
She says, "It feels like you don't remember what better feels like."
Though just one line, it encapsulated everything I've experienced in my years of battling depression
I hope that one day I will get over this feeling and once again experience the joy and the warmth of being better.
