I don't want to work a job, I want to be a housewife. Would that mean I wasted my time and money? I genuinely want to marry , have kids, take care of my family, spend time with them 24/7, take them to the library and make them read books, play sports, watch documentaries, do philosophical discussions with me, I want to be the perfect housewife and mother. I want to live a simple life.
I feel like I just wanna abandon my academic journey all together. I'm only in college because my parents want me to (I love them, they want me to be financially independent).
But I just feel like college isn't for everyone. It's not my cup of tea. The fact that I have a high school diploma is already too much and makes me feel overqualified.

Conundrum
I have a really good friend who's single. I think he may have feelings for someone else that I know. I'm jealous of that and I don't understand why, and I wish...

What should I do?
We started our friendship through online games honestly I'm having fun with her however few years after our friendship became more deeper. She shares her person...
I don't blame you with all of the nastiness that goes in the work place. At one job I had I had to tell a woman to stop with her bitchy comments or I would get someone to break her bones. She stopped then. I think you really have to like your job to keep going every day and putting up with horrible nasty people. You have to be strong within yourself and always ready to stand up for yourself to keep going. A lot of work places are made up of bullies and victims so If you wat to be a 1950s housewife good on you. Life was much simpler then and people weren't like they are now.
Reply'1950s housewife' is the craziest stereotype ever. like humans have only ever had stay at home moms in the 1950s
ReplyYes thank you! I'm 21 and grew up in a low income , immigrant household, family of 5 with my dad being the only income earner (an overnight taxi driver). We still lived a comfortable life. I feel like I don't need too much money to be satisfied with life anyways... A simple life is more peaceful
ReplyCompletely understandable to have all of these thoughts while going through school. Everyday I think about how much better my mental health would be if I dropped out. BUT Keep pushing on and get that degree girl. You don't know what life will throw at you down the road. Getting a degree will set you up for so many more high paying jobs incase being a house wife is not for you. You don't have to over do it and get a degree in STEM, go for an easier major if school is not your strong suit. It is also much harder to return back to school 20+ years later. I believe in you! you can do this (:
ReplyThank you... One of my degrees is actually in STEM and I'm trying to invest in my future, this is exactly what my dad says too, that now is my time to learn as much as I can and dedicate my time to uni because later in life that's not possible
ReplyIf thats what you want to do then go for it! If it makes you happy then it makes you happy! We think you would make a perfect mother!
ReplyThanks 🌸
ReplyGet that degree so you can be financially independent in the event of something happening like a recession or (god forbid) the death of your husband. I believe in your dream and hope you can get it, you sound very passionate about it!
