I feel that the curly hair "trend" is not fair. Everyone now is saying that their hair is curly or that they want to make their hair curly while everyone bullied me for not having straight hair. I was ashamed of my curly hair and i straightened it every week for years because all of my peers used to make fun of me. All of my relatives had straight hair and they used to laugh at me or say that i didn't care how i looked since i'm going out like that. It wasn't until high school that i finally had the courage to go out with my natural hair for the first time in years . And the worst part is that the same people who used to bully me are now asking me for the products i use. It's not fair that they get to do the trend without having to go through all the pain that they had caused for others.

It is like 80s hair kinda I guess. I'm not into following trends.
ReplyI feel your pain, but the times have changed. Please don't try to bring other people down because they want to do something new with their hair.
Why do you feel that people need to experience pain before they can have a hairstyle they think is pretty? You should be happy that people find natural beauty within your hair. I was bullied for having freckles, and now the trend is to have them. I'm happy that people find natural beauty in them, as long as they're not invalidating my experience.
But I do think it's weird that these people who bullied you are trying to find tips. And I'm sorry that you had to go through that, and you shouldn't have. But it isn't "unfair" if someone wants to have a hairstyle or keep up with a trend that they think is pretty.
