I’ve known this guy for a while now. His family is very religious, strict, and he somewhat is too. We hit it off well and have been in a relationship for some months now. He’s a senior in college (I’m a sophomore) and he will be moving away with his family after graduation. I’ll never be able to see him again. I have no idea what to do because I have deep feelings for him and can’t stand to loose him. But I’m also mad because he keeps me hidden from his family. I’m just an experience for him before his marriage and religious life. He never told me this until the other day. I’m disappointed in myself too. I have no idea what to do. If he knew this why did he ask me out in the first place? He says he loves me, but if he did he wouldn’t make me go through all this heart ache. If he says he’s religious why is he with me even though it’s against his religion.

Wow that sucks that he suddenly sprang that on you :( If you ask me, that means he doesn't love you as much as you love him, and you should find someone better who truly deserves you. I've also been in relationships where I was hidden from the family (racial bs), and in every case it ended in disaster. On the other hand I was in a relationship where my partner proudly rebelled against the family and showed me off, and that relationship was the best I've ever been in. (It ended as friends when she took a job halfway around the world.)
I guess my point is that nothing should stand in the way of true love, least of all some ridiculous arbitrary cultural ban. If their god invented love, then that's what they should respect. If their god invented hate, prejudice and exclusion, then they're worshipping the wrong god and you don't want any part of that.
