The Bully
She is standing across the street,
Yelling words that sting
Like bees on tender skin.
She is bigger, stronger, tougher.
Mas mala.
I don’t know what I did to her,
But I am not afraid.
She can only hurt me if I let her.
My father is watching me from the porch.
His eyes are squinting.
The toothpick in his mouth
Jerks up and down and from side to side,
Like a trigger, and he grits his teeth.
“Tonta, you gonna let her
Talk to you like that?” he asks.
I shrug my shoulders and try to walk inside,
But his hand on my shoulder is a command.
He is big, bigger than the girl
Across the street. “No te dejes,” he says
“Go over there and knock her teeth in!”
I know there is no way out of this.
I hit her once, on the ear.
Suddenly, she is a windmill,
Pounding the air out of me.
I fall down and scrape my knee
On the pebbled driveway.
The taste of blood scalds
The tip of my tongue and spit it out.
My father throws his arms up
In the air and stalks away.
She kicks me then I cry in rage,
Ashamed.
Can someone please write this from the father's point of view plisss it has to have the Spanish words in it and end in one word plisss Thank you by the way.
