So I've been doing this job for like at least past 2 years, the environment was really toxic when I joined, I was verbally abused to the point, I lost all my confidence but somehow I stayed because I needed this job real bad. Now I've a reputation here, I know my worth and my employee knows my worth. Something happened recently, my senior (more like a mentor) was given credit of something I did and then I knew I had to confront my boss and I did. After that my boss realized their mistake and gave me the credit, but ever since then my senior hasn't been talking to me (even though I didn't mention him infront of boss). I tried my best, but my senior seems really upset. I fear It's going to get into something big and I'd be blamed by the manager at the end. What should I do? I don't plan on staying here because this company treats new hires really bad and always blame juniors when something like this happens.

My Unsent Letter
I'm sorry. I've apologised so many times but today I've learnt that apologies hold no meaning. I made a mistake and I realise that but you think that I've done...
If you don't plan on staying here then what's there to worry ? Just try to find a better work place .. it's not your fault that , the other person took credit shamelessly for the work you did and now getting upset over it is straight out petty and childish... Don't waste your time worrying about that person just keep preparing for your better future.
ReplyYour senior could be waiting to pay you back somehow so to be safe look for another job.
ReplyThis is what scares me
ReplyPersonally I would say regardless of how anyone was treated, it's best not to burn bridges in this type of industry. My only suggestion is to respectfully address the situation and when looking for a new job just thank them for their time and be on with your day. Good luck and I am positive you will find a job worth your skill and time!
Replystay focused. it seems you care a lot about what people think. stay in your lane, remain faithful in your task. it will pay off in the long term. tunnel vision bro
