So I am at school over 12 hours because of basketball. Almost every single day. I really tried to be friends with the other basketball girls but my personality just doesn't fit theirs. So I feel like crap. The rest of the team always goes places together and I a never invited. I really just can't stop messing up relationships. I get so anxious going to school now and I really just want to sleep. I don't have any good friends. I have been working out and eating healthier but I am gaining weight. My brother left to go to the military and he was a person I just really counted on. I just want to die. of course I wouldn't do anything like that because it would hurt my family so much. I just want to be happy again but the second I get happy about something it leaves. I can't deal with this much longer. What should I do to be happier?

I just recently joined a basketball team, and don't know anyone either. It doesn't matter if your personality does not match/fit theirs, everyone is and should be unique. Ask if you can go with them sometime, or try and start a conversation about what you like. (It also helps to memorize their names, I've been on the team for 3 weeks and can't remember them and have been to shy to ask). Try meeting new friends online also. I like to play games like CSGO and MMORPG's to meet people, and you will eventually find friends at your school/workplace. As for your brother, I'm sad to hear he had to go, what I would do in that situation is try and keep in touch with him via letters or texting. You could also let your parents know about this if you want, it might help. Prayers for you and your brother in the military, and I hope your situation gets better.
