There are 3 signs you should be aware of, as told by licensed Therapist Kati Morton, for when it’s time for you to reach out to an expert. You can reach out for support whenever you need it, but these tips are good indicators that you would be better off seeking help from a professional if you’re experiencing any of them.
Sign #1: Are you bothered by this most days?
Sign #2: Is it impairing your ability to function at work, school, or in general everyday life? Does it make it harder for you to get out of bed and concentrate throughout the day?
Sign #3: Do you find yourself being overly emotional in situations that don’t call for it?
If you answered yes to any of these 3 signs, it’s time to reach out and get the help you deserve. Let this be the nudge you needed to schedule an appointment with your primary care doctor, school counselor, or therapist.
