I am scared to go to high school because, I am afraid that 1, I will get bullied for being super skinny and no one will like me for being super skinny. And 2, I am afraid because I failed the Spanish government test yesterday, so now I will take it in high school. I am 3 credit short now. I told my mom and she said "Why did you fail. You should have studied to get it over with. Now you will meet it down the path" (If you know what that means). IO tried to study now so when I get to high school, I am ready, but my mom said what is the point when you failed. Now, I walk every step with shame and breathe air with shame. I need your help.

Honestly highschool isn Always so bad, sometimes it's even better than middle school. You'll find more classes and have more selection so you may even like the classes you take .
As for failing the govt test, don't sweat it, you said you can take it again so focus on doing well then but don't stress yourself out because otherwise you'll miss out.
You get through highschool, find some time after school (30mins to and hour) to go over your material that you learned and if you have assigned homework do that first and find extra time to go over other materials.
Yes highschool will be more work, but it can also be really fun as don't worry about failure because you have to options when you meet failure, strive to better yourself for next time, or give up.
I know what highschool is like because I'm in grade 11 .
Don't worry you got this! I believe in you
Replythank you
ReplyI was super skinny going into high school. You can't stop what people will say to you, but you also can't let them get to you. Be strong and ignore everything people say, you are beautiful. You may have to take your test again, but if you study and push yourself to know the material, you will be graced with an A. Your mother is right, you should have studied, but she cannot tell you it is hopeless. It is never hopeless.
ReplyIts ok to be scared. i was scared too. you cant let one test keep you from being the best you can be. everyone fails a test. i went into high school feeling the exact same way. but look at me now graduating next week. just believe in yourself. work hard i believe in you.
ReplyIt's okay being scared but highschool is not that scary. Remember to have fun, no one can bring you down :)
The best of luck to you!!
ReplyHey, high school looks super scary when you're in middle school. Trust me, I was there. Trust me when I say high school is not nearly as bad as it looks. I'm a junior right now and looking back, high school is sooo much better than middle school. Middle school years are some of the worst. But you'll get through. High school is good bc you can take a wider assortment of classes. You also become closer to your classmates and form better relationships. Of course, high school is what you make of it, though. Just go in with a fresh and positive attitude!
When I was a 6th grader I was tiny, had terrible acne, hardly talked. I did okay in school, but I got B's and C's in some of my classes. Absolutely dreaded math. But then I got to high school. My grades dramatically went up and I've been on the honor roll since freshman year. Theres a lot of clubs to get involved with. I'm no longer as scared of public speaking. People have stopped asking why I'm so quiet.
Of course high school is different for everyone. But please don't be scared. It's a new and big environment but it's not bad at all. As with anything you just have to get used to it! Some of my best memories have been from these past couple years. And I'm skinny and tiny too :) lemme know if you need any more advice
ReplyThank you.
ReplyNow I can go to sleep with no big boulder over me.
