Every time I try to lie down on bed and sleep, I'll always have trouble breathing. I don't have asthma, but this problem has been going over for roughly a year or two. Sometimes, I'll just suddenly have shortness of breath and feel the need to draw in a quick, sharp breath as soon as possible. My mom once caught me and she said I am seeking attention. So, I am scared to ask other people's opinions because they might think the same.
And here I am, asking you guys. Hopefully one of you can help. This problem has been disrupting my sleep every now and then.

Sleep apnea or paroxysmal nocturnal dyspnoea? Not a doctor but maybe look into it?
Replysounds like a tear or ulcers causing acid reflex or sleep apnea. Acid reflex causes the asthma like symptoms. if you sleep but have long pause while you are sleeping then You have some sleep apnea going on. Try omeprazole it’s over the counter if it’s like asthma. If you feel like you quit breathing while you are sleeping you need to get a sleep study done and don’t wait. Untreated sleep apnea can cause death by slowly shutting down your body. You can also get your blood oxygen level checked (some Walmart’s do this with blood pressure) anything below 93 you need to see a dr. Hope this helps!
ReplyYou need to see a physician, not ask for advice here.
ReplyPerhaps you have arrhythmia? It is nothing to worry about as it is common but it is when the heart beats fast and randomly on some occasions which can result in discomfort or inability to sleep. Get it checked out by a doctor. Don't be afraid of it as it isn't serious and can be corrected/ monitored.
