I'm in school now for nursing. When I graduate I plan on being a travel nurse. My dad is a mechanic, and I'm not sure that his current job of 20+ years even offers a retirement plan. I don't know what he has set up for retirement, but he's approaching that age. He likes traveling as much as I do. I want to live in an RV, and ride a motorcycle to work when I can. I don't particularly like his wife very much, but she's tolerable.
Would it be reasonable to offer them to live with me full time, while I pursue my nursing career? Or should I attempt to aid him financially while he is in retirement?
Ultimately it would be their choice. She doesn't work, but they have established a welcoming home over the years.
I just want to give him the opportunity to experience what he can, and if that means his wife has to come with, I think I could handle that.
