I moved country to help a company grow - in the past 18 month since the move, the original owner that asked me to move has left the business and now I am here trying to clean up the mess he left me from his laziness. I am 27y/o and starting a new life in a country I have no family in. I was not offered any ownership rights and for the past 5 years have built a small company into a multi-million dollar business all to see it fall apart after moving from poor coordination from the former owner. I am now tasked with rebuilding the company to its former glory on my own as the 2 new owners tell me we arent making profits but do not invest into the company after we spent all our profits paying out the former owner. They think I am over paid when they don't pull money out but in reality, I am operating on the starting budget smaller than if I were to go to the bank and get a loan and start my own brand in the industry I work in. When something goes wrong - it's on me - and I get that. I am writing this out of frustration as it seems the world is just about who has money and who makes the money. I don't live a life of extreme wealth, but I am fortunate for the situation I am in as I am better off than most, and when the directors who have multiple £100k+ cars on their drive way, fly first class everywhere, let their son/brother not work for 6 months and he still drives a new porsche, it makes me sick when I am told that ''they aren't pulling any money out of the business'' and I am expected to feel some type of gratitude or something. I had a meeting with one of the owners today that said ''well your company owes my other company £2k for shipping'' but maybe we would have that spare cash if you didn't spend £5k on a flight to China and put money so we could flip some products for the business YOU OWN. I just design, sell, do customer service and am a face to the brand. You sit back and expect me to make magic from the little money we have flipping each batch of products. **I am grateful for everything that the new owners have done for me as they helped me a lot when moving over and I don't mean to seem unappreciative for anything they have done like taking me in as family and helping me get a place to live etc. - I just get so annoyed that the way society works is if you don't have money you are fucked. If you have money or your family has money - your life is easy. I come from a single mother house hold and was once addicted to drugs and homeless before turning my life around and making something of myself. And when I hear that YOUR company isnt making the money it should than maybe YOU should do something about it. Don't give me charity of staying in a job and building a life if you have no plans to invest into my life more than the over paid salary you think you give me as I work 60 hours a week to make sure at the end of this fiscal year you can buy a new super car at the end of the year or a new house you can rent out. /endrantfrommyoffice

The dilemma
Just thinking through some things, and I need to write this out. I work from home. I've been with this company for almost 2 years, and I'm very good at my job...

Tired of explaining my perspectives at work
I know from experience and training how to do things properly regarding software development, but all developers around me think they know how to do things too...
I have a lot of respect for you. Really do hope they are considering giving you a raise for your efforts and hard work. Worst case scenario you save leave the company and work on building your own business. Get trustworthy investors and clients who would be interested in your business. Do that on the side in the meantime as you're getting paid, find ways to work smarter and get help if it's needed.
All the best to you.
