What even is love. Why is it wrong for me to love. My love is forbidden, since I am a Christian. I'm homosexual, but my religion has taught me that that is wrong. I do believe it is wrong, but I don't care if you do it, it's your life. I'm just stuck in this horrible loop of longing for someone but not being able to act upon it. I'm just confused. I've tried liking women, but nothing is appealing to me about them. They can be pretty, beautiful, but I would never have any sexual attractions to them. I'll talk to a guy I like, go home and bury my face in my pillow and think about our conversation. Feel jealous when they talk to another guy or a girl or hang out with someone other than me. Sweat when a guy I like talks to me. I do believe in my religion, It's just can I really call myself a Christian if I want to kiss another guy? I feel like the answer is no. It doesn't help that some guys I like show some genuine interest in me, and it's mixed signals and I go home and stress out and overthink and think about all the embarrassing things I said.

i'm a christian too. God loves you no matter fucking what. pray to Him, repent, etc. He made you for a specific reason. Be yourself. Have you and your partner dedicated to God, grow towards Him and you both will grow together. it might sound dumb, sorry, but i hope this helps.
Replyyou know, the Bible actually does not say homosexuality is a sin. there are many churches now that welcome gays in their Christian group. I hope you find a place someday where you can be yourself and practice Christianity as well and be accepted just as you are.
ReplyActually, God very well states that homosexuality is a sin. He says so in Leviticus. In fact, he refers to it as "disgusting", which it is, in my opinion. He doesn't say, "It is a sin", but anything that disgusts God is a sin. Homosexuality is considered an abomination to God. He made sex and marriage for a man and woman only, not two men or two women. As they say, "God created Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve." And it's not ok for the church to support the gay community, but yes, you can still be accepted if you're a homosexual. Remember, it's never too late to stop sinning. God will accept you as you are.
ReplyAlso, i don't think the Bible should be followed exactly anyway. it was written for a specific time by specific people with specific agenda. For example, they may encourage men and women to procreate but that's because back then the earth's population was smaller and encouraging it made sense. we are 7 plus billion , straining our planet, with too many orphans that need adopting, advocating only heterosexual copulations doesn't make sense. I'm pretty sure if there's a God, she would want us to also use our common sense. Tattos are explicitly forbidden in the bible, so does that make people who have tattoos now sinful? hardly. But it's general good advice to avoid needles during the period of time before sterilization was invented. It's not a moral sin. geesh. Hope you're getting my point and go easier on yourself and others.
ReplyThe Bible is set in The Middle East where men are against being gay. The Virgin Mary was 12 when she fell pregnant with Jesus which is normal for The Middle East where men marry children. So this thing about gays could come from men even though it is not in the normal scheme of things.
Replysame!..... I just do not know that answer.
