I have to hand in my assignment and I know it's terrible and it makes me feel extremely upset at myself. How did I let myself become so lost and unambitious? I'm gonna get a bad grade and I have nobody to blame but myself. Even now, I should be editing my work and making sure it's all good, but instead I'm doing this?? What is wrong with me?

No In Between
My brain is having a hard time finding middle ground. Either I'm in a good mood and there are things that make me happy and I enjoy my hobbies or I feel little...
Push yourself, because no one else is going to do it for you.
ReplyNothing's wrong. Getting a bad assignment can make me spiral. Find what's making you stay away from your work. Fear of it never being good enough? Not being able to concentrate? Is it boring? Is it big? Important? Too simple?
Find that, cope with what it is that's stopping you, and ask around for study tips. The internet is full of them, and you can just take one and see where it leads.
Personally, when I have to edit some work, I get a timer for one hour that I work straight through, then 20 min of rest by doing literally anything else. It makes me see what I got done, and that I'm not stuck to the assignment.
You're not a failure. Tripping is normal, no one can be 100% all the time, and humans aren't perfect. Do as much as you can, if you get a worse grade than you wanted, you did your best at the time. Now think of what you can improve.
Again, you're not a failure, a slob, or lazy.
You're fine, friend.
Good luck!
ReplyRelax, let yourself breathe, it's just one assignment. You've learned from your mistake, and can do better next time! Mistakes are just learning opportunities from the past and should be treated as nothing more. You'll be fine
