ReplyI do deep-breathing exercises and I take time to stretch slowly. I also make sure to spend time outside in fresh air and exercise, it helps a lot. I listen to music that soothes me. I also journal a lot to get my feelings out and I pay attention to how I talk to myself in my internal dialogue. I try to change thoughts from ones that attack me to ones that don't. Like, instead of thinking "I'm so stupid, I can't do anything" I try to think "This is hard for me, it's a challenge". And I have a weighted blanket that I lay under when I'm stressed/anxious.
ReplyYes! My favourite breathing exercise is four seven eight where you breathe in for 4 seconds, hold for 7, and breathe out for 8 through the mouth. I do this two or three times and it helps me to relax at bit and focus.
