My anger and anxiety are killing me. I can't even be compassionate with myself as I am with others and I can't get over any silly mistake I make. Like I've done a silly mistake in a final exam and I really can't handle it. I know it's not a big deal and there are many different difficulties I may face but I just can't get over it and I keep thinking of how I could've avoid my mistake if I paid more attention. It makes me so angry and anxious at the same time.
It's really killing me, I really wanna stop worrying and thinking too much but I don't know how! Please tell me anything, help me please!

Scared and Confused
You ever feel like you're a different person now? Like you don't belong to the name you used to have? And all your views are like not even existing in the same...
If you convert your anger in a positive way then it will benefit you.
Like for example, you get angry when you do silly mistake in your exam. Then you keep on thinking how you could have written something else. That time you should get up and sit for making a study plan, to figure out what did you miss from the chapters. Convert your anger to a positive motivation to do better in your next exam. Simply worrying while lying down won't help. Study more, divert your mind from worrying, make yourself busy for productive output.
It's okay to regret and thinking again and again for different outcomes which you could have done. Every human does that. So don't sit idle because empty mind makes the worst decisions. So keep your mind busy.
ReplyHey! It is totally understandable that you feel angry about making a mistake at an exam. I have been there plenty of times but you should remember that there are more important things in life to care about such as health, spending time with your loved ones and appreciating life in general. Your thoughts are fine but don't exaggerate it. Try not to overthink about it because it will destroy your productivity and effectiveness while you study for your other exams. You can always get in touch with people who understand you and open up about it or you can even write everything that bothers you in a piece of paper. I promise you are going to feel so relieved. Enjoy the process and continue to aim for the best results in whatever you pursue. Oh and remember:

ReplyI love the mnemonic and the advice; hopefully it inspires many who read it.
Courtesy notice: the following includes a reference to a book that contains writings over 2000 years old which are mostly parables about human nature, both vile human nature as well as moral human nature, parables that are meant to teach us to learn and grow, including the teachings of Christ Jesus. No religion required, and better yet: no public displays of devotion required. Some bullies will label this "trolling", so "change the channel" now if of no interest to you.

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.
