Birthday occurrences

I was born 9/11. Straight up. I hate that date because it reminds me of a truly awful event that took place the date I was born. Though I was born before it happened. But still, it sucks. I don't want to be an hypocrite and say I don't care if it didn't happen on my birthday. I learned to appreciate things because they happened on my birthday, but also made me appreciate the fact that everyone has those birthday occurrences. So the next time you joke about it, remember that some people might be taking it more seriously because of that.
