Listening to Dr. Peterson and Alain de Botton (@TheSchoolofLife) at the same time is pretty insightful. They both orbit the same psychological purpose but in the exact opposite way. Peterson is way more tensive towards the concept of stumbling uphill for the greater good, and his vibe always explicitly points to justice and truth. While Alain is in a camp that focuses more on mercy and forgiveness, he objects to the pursuit of serving the ideal as our primary mode of being. Peterson is the gas, and Alain is the brake. If I put a Jungian filter on top of this, we can clearly see the contrast between the anima and the animus between them. It's all connecting together and God I love psychology.
