Why is it that when I express hurt feelings, I get ignored. And when I point out that ignorance, I get yelled at. And if that yelling triggers my fight/flight/freeze response, it gets made about you and the things you have been through. Why is it that you can't just calmly listen. Can't just say "I'm sorry." Can't just give me a hug. Can't just try to do better. I don't understand why I have to try so hard while you just remain the same. I don't understand why.
