I’m in middle school, I have an okay life? I live in a small apartment on Main Street, it’s not that great. I go to school every morning and the teachers are just unreasonable, they give us homework on top of 10 more subjects that gave us homework, projects on top of projects, and the science fair... It just makes me really really depressed and frustrated! I don’t really express myself to my parents by crying or anything, so I bottle it all up and when I just hit the breaking point I cry for a while and think about cutting and suicide. My parents got divorced and it really hit me hard, my uncle died a week after and I just can’t deal with any of this anymore. I know people have it way worse than me but I’m just feeling really alone and I don’t know what to do.

I know it's cliche but it really does get better. Your feelings are valid and you shouldn't have to worry about 'deserving' to be sad. What's important is patience, opening up about what's going on, and some how finding the motivation to work towards getting better.
ReplyThe fact that someone might have it worse doesn't erase the way you are feeling, the way you hurt. Your feelings are valid. You have a lot on your plate. I am sorry that you have to experience all this hell and all this loss. Your teachers sound so inconsiderate. It sounds so stressful to have all this school work to do. You deserve to be happy and have fun. You deserve to have free time, to smile. Do you think that talking to your teacher about how you are feeling would be a good idea? Harmimg yourself is very, very dangerous. You deserve to be safe. I understand that you see it as a way to let go of your pain, but there are other safe methods, and creative ones, that can help you express your pain, feelings and thoughts in a safe way. How about drawing, music, going out for walks, exercising or any other activity you enjoy and helps you escape reality for a little bit?
ReplyI go through things like that too! If you could, ask your mom or dad if you could take a break from school. Join a club, get a hobby! Homework? So what! You're not in High school yet, your grades won't affect the university or college you go to. Relax a little, suck up to the teachers so they'll like you. Best of luck! :)
ReplyThings may seem bad now and you may never imagine it getting better. But be patient and let time do it’s thing. You will eventually overcome everything one way or another. Life is difficult for everyone in some way, it’s just a matter of how you handle situations (cutting shouldn’t be one of them, it only helps temporarily). Your hard work will surely pay off. If you need an escape from reality, try a hobby or doing anything you like; arts, sports, reading, anime, etc.
hope this helps
ReplyYou shouldn't care if other have it better or worse. This is about you. When you feel sad, then be sad. If you feel like crying, take a moment for yourself and cry it out. It feels so much better than to just keep it in! ❤ And btw, don't hurt yourself. It hurts. And hurt is bad.. don't keep things inside. Talk to someone, my friend!
