When I got home from the hospital, I broke down. I'm not religious, but my family is. But today, I prayed with everything I had that my great uncle would be alright.
Later that day, while I was out of town, my mom got a call from my family at the hospital. They said that they were able to move my great uncle to the heart hospital and he was doing okay now.
I don't know what to think. Things like this have happened to me before, but I don't want to blame it on the prayers. My family has always forced their religion onto me, and so now it just makes me angry to think about. So I've always just ignored religion and whatever may lie in the afterlife.
But whenever things like this happen, I have to second guess myself. I wanna believe it was just a coincidence that my great uncle went from being on his death bed to being fine in less than a day. But I also wanna believe that someone up there took pity on me, and decided that my prayer was one worth answering.

Ecclesiastes 5:9 sadness
I daydream a lot about meeting a great guy and the talks we'll have before he proposes to me. Sometimes their vast adventures to other worlds, and super powers!...
I'm assuming that you're the same person that posted yesterday about it being your birthday and spoke of your uncle. I'm glad your uncle is going to be okay, I myself am a religious person and truly believe that you can never underestimate the power of Prayer. God has been the only constant in my life that I can rely on and prayers helped me through a lot of very tough things including the death of my father and stepson. Sometimes prayers are answered but sometimes they answer is no.
ReplyModern medical care is indeed a wonderful thing! I'm so very glad that your great uncle recovering. Wishing you all the best.
